I took two rifles to the garage bench and removed bolts to clean and grease / oil raceways. Upon inspection, I saw gunks of grease and dirt with a couple of kernels stuck on the outside perimeter behind the chamber where the bolt lug recesses are located. I could only reach part of it with a Q Tip dipped in some carb cleaner and wiped some of the grease / dirt out. I used a few squirts of Gun Clean spray with a straw and blow out with compressed air. Are there any kits that you guys use to clean inside the action and hard to reach places?

Side note, the kernels of powder stuck in there was when I missed priming a case. bang

I do it about like you describe. Q-tips and spray the hell out of it. If there’s a better way, I’d also like to know.

You can get a 3/8" dowel about a foot long and drill a hole through it near one end, then get those darned cotton things that your dentist stuffs in your mug when he's through torturing you and stick em through the hole in the dowel. They aren't great, but they can get stuff out of there. Dentists will usually give you a few if you ask. There may be some better items you could use to stick through the end of the dowel rod, but my imagination is taking the evening off.

I have been known to grab the 45 cal. brush a time or two. Some times I lay a patch over the brush.

I use a section of a shotgun cleaning rod, with the patch tip attached, and use enough larger patches in the tip for a snug fit in the chamber. And I can get into the lug recesses with it.

They make some patches that are "T" shaped to get down where the lugs lock up.

I did a quick search, and didn't find them. But someone makes a thick patch that has a "T" that mounts on a rod for cleaning out the bolt lug areas. I've seen them used, but can't find them.

This is the closest thing I can find to what I'm talking about. The one's I saw previously were like this, but went on a rod and were for cleaning the lug areas of a bolt gun. I can't find it.
