Curious as to what folks would pay if I flooded 1 acre plots of milo/millet, 5-6 different spots on 30 acres. Irrigation well in place. Close to Hagerman.Have it just sitting and no money in cows. Thoughts ??

Close to the Hagerman I would think you could have a heck of a place. Are you thinking of an annual lease or guiding individual hunts?

Pretty sure you'd have plenty of guys interested in day-leasing.

I would definitely be interested in signing a lease for that... That is right down the road from where I hunt.

We can easily do it, just not sure if its worth it or not, financially speaking

Hey I've seen what Frisco folks pay to dove hunt. Might be on to a gold mine here.

I’d be interested and I like that you’re thinking few days a week versus killing a spot. I’d also be interested in a season deal and not just a per day.

No matter how high a duck flies a hammer still breaks a window.

Set a minimum fee to be a member and hold a drawing for hunting dates. I'd pay $100 each for a chance to draw a spot.

Don't do the season lease deal. You'll make way more money selling day hunts. Guys will pay $250 for ducks.

Not for a self guided day hunt or at least I hope not.

Keep in mind that if you do a gate fee you may make a little more but think of the time you will have invested booking hunters, collecting fee's, showing them around, cleaning up Etc...

A good group or several good season hunters would be less time consuming. Just my 2 cents.

My little pond where marginal shooters shoot a 3 man and good shooters shoot a 4 or 5 man 3 days a week is $750. Usually groups of 3 or 4 guys pay me.

Props to you then. I think $100/gun is as high as I'd ever pay to do a self guided hunt and that would have to be a field loaded with mallards and geese.
