Anyone have a good recommendation for a trainer in North Texas? (waterfowl, dove, not upland)
I will picking up a pup close to mid Feb.

Thanks.

If you are near Brownwood I would recommend Glenda at Kanati Kennels

There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

Has anyone purchased a dog from or had one trained by JC Strange in Decatur?

Mine went to Wolf Creek Retrievers in Caddo Mills. Orie and Terri Matthews. Great family operation and nice facilities as well.

Opinions on buying a starter gun dog (the dog is already trained) versus buying a puppy raising it yourself and having it trained to be a gun dog?

Does anybody have any experience either way?
