Hey, new to the forum. Me and a buddy lost a lease in Sweetwater this past year and we’re looking for public land to turkey hunt this spring, until we get a new lease. Anyone had any experience on caddo natl grasslands, west of Paris. We’re in Texarkana and think that’s going to be closest opportunity. Any other ideas on public lands that have turkey is welcome.

Eastern birds in the Caddo Grasslands, very shy and you have to put in your hours to find and harvest them.

Born to hunt and fish.

I live right next to the grasslands, and have had them show up on my place. They are defiantly around but they can be pretty elusive.
