If you dont mind me asking, what part of the state did you hunt? Been wanting a Cinnamon for years but not sure where to shoot them.

If you dont mind me asking, what part of the state did you hunt? Been wanting a Cinnamon for years but not sure where to shoot them. This was around palacios. i know of about 3-5 a year in SE Texas that get killed, but they're so sporadic. When I killed my first one it was a drake/hen pair, and last week I was lucky enough to see 8 of them (at least 3 drakes) and shoot 2. A buddy of mine hunted the pond 2 days later and saw and missed a drake. I'm going back tomorrow and may not even see one, but hoping I do. Your best bet if you want to stay in the state is go west for a few days. If you're willing to travel, then I'd hunt Nevada, Utah, California, or make it a whole new experience and book a hunt in Mexico and kill several. I went last year and shot about a dozen just myself

Awesome! And are those RIO Blue I see in the background? Did you really shoot them with Blackcloud and sprinkle those empty hulls to make it look like you shot with Rio?

Screw black cloud! Shot Kent for the last few years but tried the Rio's this year. Overall I've been happy with them. Just wish I had bought the 1 1/8 ounce that shoot faster than the ones I have. Still a good load that has been rolling the ducks and geese this year
