Why do people ask these questions after they buy something?

That’s a lot of mag for that range, but it will work.

It’ll do just fine, but would be better for hunting over open ground rather than in the woods. When hunting the edge of fields, i’m normally set at 8 power. Heck, I hunted with a fixed 6 for most of a decade and shot mucho deer - in the woods and on ROWs.

I’ve done it too. Sometimes you impulse buy something. Sometimes you jump on something that seems like a great deal and don’t have time to get reviews before you buy. Doesn’t sound like the case here though.

OP which vortex is it? They have about 20 different models.

Sure. I get that, but at that point, it’s in your hands. Look through the dang thing and see for yourself.

On the Crossfire II, if you're going to use the BDC, make sure you are dialed to 18x.....BDC reticles are normally accurate (on SFP scopes) at the highest setting, for some reason it's 18x on this scope.
