Sounds like a winner. A friend gave me a Gallon bag of freshly shelled black eyed peas last summer. I stewed them up with a couple of ham hocks and froze them in pint size bags. I'm having them with stuffed bell peppers, scratch cornbread, and chow-chow.

Cajun seasoned black-eyed peas, cabbage, grilled pork chops, sweet potatoe souffle, waldrof salad and bourbon pecan pie.

I made Texas caviar earlier with canned blackeyes, pico de Gallo and tossed in a pound of bacon. Tonight will be fish tacos which will be topped with shredded cabbage.

I made a pot last night but didn't like them.
I ate the best black eyed peas I've ever had today at my neighbors. Have a bag of them in the fridge and the recipe in my pocket.

Had mine yesterday. Opened a can of Ranch Style Black Eyed Peas, added Ham, Tabasco and crushed ground black pepper and was good to go up

Here you go guys, this is the recipe he used. He substituted jalapenos for the pepperoncini's, also used boneless ham hocks.
