Ive got a trophy mule deer trip in west texas coming up next week.
I may be in trouble with a few items I need that I may not have.
I dont have good glass. I may be able to borrow a buddies pair of swaros but Im not sure I want to ask. I dont think my binoX are good for glassing. Great for pics and video at 200 yards or less only. I do have a tripod and 20-60X scope.
My hiking/hunting boots have separated on the heel. Not good. Just noticed on my last trip. I wear a size 17 and I was online line for an hour or so looking with no luck. I do have my bogs but not sure if they can take that type of terrain.
Im good on warm camo gear.
Just sighted the 30-06 in at 200 yards with Barnes TSX 168 Gr. So good to go there!
Ive got a primos tripod full size.
100 qt cooler for meat
Head lamp, range finder good to go.
Advice on what else I need. Thanks

I would PM mulie mike if I was you.... probably going to want a camel back for water.
Never been to a camping world. I prefer Dick's to be honest.

Hand warmers and face mask (you may be high racking some). Weather & wind out there can be brutal and change quickly. snacks

Pipes froze at the camp so we delayed a week or 2. That gave me time to order some boots. That was my biggest worry. Ive got binoculars but they are a $150 pair but I guess they will have to do. A Gun, a bullet, boots and clothes is all I really need so I am good to go I guess.
Thanks for the help guys.

Get a good nalgene or camelback for water and a jetboil to make some midday coffee or hot soup-- it'll keep you in the field longer = seeing more deer = shooting more deer.
Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Ive got a 3L already installed on my hunting pack. So good to go there also. No doubt about it I will be hunting all day just like I will be doing this weekend in the SHNF for the last few days of rifle season. Last Weekend I was in my ground blind at first legal shooting time and didnt see much all morning but finally whacked a pig at 4:40. So persistence pays off! A sandwich and chips really helps also.
