I don’t run traps very often (mostly for coons) but, I had been seeing a quite a bit of sign on a trail I take to get to my tree stand and just had to give it a run. I made a basic dirt hole set with a couple stepping sticks a couple feet off to the side of the trail and the very next morning I had my first trapped bobcat! She’s not the biggest or most spotted cat but, it’s one less fawn killer out there and I feel like I accomplished something by trapping my first predator

Congrats! my first catch was a younger bobcat as well. Finally managed to catch a coyote. There is a lot more to it than what meets the eye and I still have a lot to learn I'm sure.

I have no problem snaring yotes but, I haven’t even come close to catching one.
