How many of you have taken a deer with the heater rolling?

Plenty of times. Mine makes a slight noise when on 'low' but is pretty much silent when on high.

My box stand is elevated 14' and assuming I have the right wind...I can't think of a time that the slight odor has ever caused a problem.

Well worth having the heat and comfort.

Same here - slight noise (sputtering sound almost) when on low. However had doe within 25 yards of me just yesterday with it on.

Won’t bother the deer, these Texas deer smell plenty of lp,ngl, and oil. There is production tanks everywhere, enjoy the comfort.

Deer, turkey, hogs, coyotes and a bobcat. No problem at all with the heater running.

Only time I've ever lugged a buddyheater to a stand was 2 years ago to a ground blind because I had my daughter with me and it was 11 degrees (North Central Oklahoma). So warm we could have hunted all day it was nice I have to admit. But nothing came downwind of us so I don't know if it affected deer but I think our scent would have bothered deer as much or more then the buddyheater. Sound seemed minimal.
