Posted earlier all about the great price I got on this, $719.00, plus they gave me a $100 Optics Plane Gift Card. I have a Harris Bipod on the way.
The scope came with the zero stop feature, kind of a hassle if you need to adjust down when sighting in, but well worth it. Once you get zero, it's a great feature. The adjustments were spot on. Tracked perfectly. I hunted with it this weekend. In full light the clarity is as you'd expect. At 15x I was looking at deer out to 900-1000 yards with a very clear picture. Light gathering is awesome. Last light, when it's too dark to really shoot, I could have. Deer out in the open at 120 yards would not have been a problem. Where this scope really pulls away is clarity looking into cover at low light. It was that time at the end of the hunt when through cover with very low light, with the naked eye you can see movement. Find them through the glass and it looked as if they were on a tv screen. It does a really good job of pulling colors and shapes apart so that you can easily find what you're looking for, and shoot it if you want. I have a VX-6, that's about 4-5 years old. The image quality at low light in cover is better with the new VX-5 HD. Everything else is equal, not considering the increased magnification (18x) on my VX-6.
An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.
