I have a VX-3, 3.5-10X40 I put on my daughters X-Bolt. While sighting it in this year, I noticed at distance (100yards) it was slightly out of focus. I adjusted the eye piece for my eye, still out of focus. So I switched scopes on her rifle and sent the 3.5-10 in to Leupold for service.

They received it December 5th and said it would be 18 working days, plus additional 2-4 weeks for custom work (not me). I haven't received any updates, etc. Should put me right at the 1st of 2018.

I'll update what they find. I'm sure they will say its me, the scope is fine, which may be true BUT my Swarovski doesn't bother me a bit, just perfection.

What happens when the Swarovski needs work? How is their customer service?

My experience with Leupold was great. For the first 40 years it was like my experience with RCBS, in that I had heard great things about them, but nothing ever broke. Then I had a Leupold scope break. Didn’t exactly break, but had a wandering zero. I sent it in and got it back pretty quick, at no cost to me other than my shipping it to them. Since then i’ve Had a few reticles replaced, and that went easily and relatively quickly.

I had a Swaro A 3-10x42 break (erector) on a 7mag I was using it on a few years ago. Swaro fixed it good as new, as their service is fantastic too. It took 7 weeks to get it back to me. I sold it after receiving it back.

I've never had anything but outstanding customer service from both Leupold and Sawrovski.

I'm with Fouzman. Great service from both. I have had Leupold make good on things they really didn't have to.

I wish stupidity was not so handsomly rewarded.

I wasn't trying to start a competition , just letting everyone know what I was doing. Companies these days cannot afford to have bad service, With MAP pricing everywhere, its all they have to "sell".

I sent them an old VXIII 4.5-14x50 to have the new CDS-ZL2 put on it. Shipped it on 12/19, they emailed me wednesday to call them for payment. The Custom Shop guy i spoke to said it would be out in a couple weeks. Given that it's hunting season and the holidays I don't think that's too bad. I've always been very very happy with their customer service.

Why did you sell the Swaro?

He said the erector broke. Nothing new under the sun for a Swaro rifle scope.

Wonderful glass, I can stop there.

Right on JG. Love their binocs, scopes not so much.

Due to the input of many frequent shooters, including FJG and some others, I'm gradually going the route of the LRHS and possibly NF SHV with the new forceplex reticle. I'm convinced they hold POI/POA/perpetual dialing better than the average hunting scope. Still getting used to the hashes, quads, circle of death, etc but they're growing on me.

I'm on the fence on SHV turrets. I know some guys that run them, and are happy. I've even seen them track properly all the way down my range.

They feel a little soft to me, but the jury is still out, in my opinion of them. If I did buy an SHV, I would run a tracking test, as well as a return to zero test. I want one, but I'm not as confident in its' toughness as I am every other Night Force.

scope still not here, supposedly Friday. The tracking shows its been all over Texas, Colorado and back to Oregon

SHV Turrets are positive and very accurate if your ballistic chart is correct. Had my 5-20, 200 to 750 yards, it hit where I dialed it and back to zero, then back out to next range. Buy this scope with confidence.

Its much lighter than the NXS or ATACR but its not a match for either of those. it is what it is
