I got the ok to buy a .22 pistol soon. I really like the
Ruger MK IV Browning Buck Mark SW22 Ruger 22/45
Which would you get out of these and why it?
Thanks.

I think you will be happy with either one. I have had both and if I was going to buy another one, which I will since they are both gone, it will be the Ruger.
Didn’t see the Ruger 22/45. Don’t have experience with that one

Without a lot of experience with any of those, I’d go with the Mk. IV, just because of that lines legacy. Never really heard anything bad about them.

My 22/45 was more accurate than my MKIII. They’re all good though.

I’ve been a Ruger fanboy for a lot of years. I have a 22/45 target that shoots lights out. Having said that, the SW22 is a sweet pistol. It would be high on my list. Honestly do not think you could go wrong with any you mention.

I’ve been reading about the SW22 Victory. Supposedly a better trigger and it has fiber optic sights.
How does it work to buy a gun online and have it shipped to a gun shop nearby? I’ve never done that. Just always bought from academy. What’s the cost to do this?
There’s some good deals on these guns out there.

Don’t have any experience with the S&W. I’ve owned exactly one Ruger - a 22/45,and currently have a Buck Mark. Got rid of the Ruger. To me the Buck Mark had a better trigger and was more accurate.
Don’t roll those bloodshot eyes at me.

You want a gun that's easy to take down. So that would be a Ruger Mk IV or SW Victory. I have the SW22 Victory. It's accurate and reliable. It's a very nice pistol. Do some reading on it.

I have a Ruger MKIII Hunter and it is accurate and very dependable. The new MKiV breaks down much easier than the MKIII.

Also take a look at the S&W M&P 22. It is a lot of fun and similar ergos to a M&P9 2.0 Compact or comparable Glock, if you carry either of those. I also have an earlier version of the Ruger. While very nice, it never goes to the range since the M&P showed up. https://www.smith-wesson.com/firearms/mp-22-compact

We have the Ruger MKIV, S&W MP22, and Sig Skeeter. Of the 3 I love the MP22, great feel & Trigger, non existing recoil. The Ruger is good but heavy. The Sig sucks.

I am a fan of the Buck Mark but also think I would really like the grip angle of the 22/45. It is next on my list to try.
I was wrong...on anything technical. Fitz............. is right, ya know............

I have a Ruger 22/45 and I definitely prefer the feel over the standard MKIV and the previous models. I just don't like the grip angle of the others as much as the 22/45. My assumption is the others will shoot just as good and it's just a matter of personal preference of grip angle. I've never owned a Browning Buckmark but I have shot them and I would own one without hesitation. I have no experience with the others.

To me the Buck Mark had a better trigger and was more accurate. look at the Buck Mark UTG Contour with the full rail and sights or the new Field Target. VERY accurate and as booraley says the best triggers. you can put a scope or red dot on it did I mention it shoots like a rifle??

I'm a fan of the Buckmark pistols and love mine with the TacSol barrel. If I was buying a second it would be the 22/45 Lite.

Couple things... What's your use for the pistol? Does it have to be semi-auto? I like and own a Ruger, but man, is there a Ruger firearm that hasn't had a recall? Top of this Mark IV web page has a big yellow recall banner. https://ruger.com/products/markIV2245Lite/models.htmlWhile it's not in the class of models you listed, I really like my Ruger Single-Six. Sure, it only holds six, but swapping out cylinders for .22 WMR is pretty convenient. Mine has killed a bunch of rattlers and coons.

All winners. I prefer the 22/45 because of feel. Doesn’t hurt it’s pretty accurate either.
