I made a black Friday purchase of a Horton Legend Ultralight for 50% off. I know this crossbow is made by Ten Point now that Horton went bankrupt. I was wondering if anyone has shot the new Horton/Ten point crossbows? I purchased a cheap PSE crossbow mainly for guest to hunt with me. The quality of the PSE is what you would expect for its entry price. When I found this deal I knew that the components alone made it worth it to buy. I got the illuminated reticle scope and the Accu draw 50 on it. Guess I will see how it shoots Friday when I get it.

Don't think you will regret your purchase. Basically it is a Tenpoint with the Horton name on it with full lifetime warranty through Tenpoint register your bow for that. Not that most ever have to use it. The accudraw 50 over time will most likely need the spring tightened like a lawnmower starter does from time to time and that is the part of the bow with a 2 year warranty.

Congrats on a good buy on a good crossbow. The trigger group is the same Tenpoint uses on all their crossbows.

I bought a Horton Crossbow 20 years ago and it's still knocking down the deer and I couldn't even tell you how many.
I know the brand has changed hands, but I hope the quality hasn't changed.
I've never had the need to upgrade since that first purchase 20 years ago.
My most recent with the crossbow.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

It came in the mail Friday. Took it out this weekend. Only took a couple of shots to get it sighted in. Really like the accudraw 50 and the scope with illuminated reticle. It shoots perfect groups. I think this will be a fun change of pace on real cold days when I don't feel like trying to draw my compound with a bunch of layers on.

Chris, I use the crossbow on days like you described and on days that the wind is wrong for my setup stands, I pick a tree and sit beside it where I have a good field of view and fire and brush in some. That has worked on some occasions I would have been busted for sure from the stands.

Well, it works. Stalked this one in the dark and shot it with no light.
