Looking into a scope for my 22Creedmoor. My main purpose for this rifle is predator hunting, so weight is somewhat important. What power is recommended in this case. Will be used from a high rack but mostly from a ground blind. Also low light gathering would be a factor.

Budget? Do you want an illuminated reticle? A Leupold VX6 2-12 with illuminated reticle would seem to be a reasonable option, unless the 2x bottom end is too high. I just snapped up a Burris XTR II 1-8 on close out from Midway a couple days ago; not exactly a light scope, but they might still be on sale.

Second focal plane scopes I would take a look at one of these depending on your budget. Leupold VX-3 4.5-14 Leupold VX-6 3-18 Nightforce SHV 4-14
First Focal plane Burris xtr ii 3-15 or 4-20 Steiner 3-15 Vortex Razor Gen II 3-18 Nightforce Atacr f1 4-16

Dang I'll find out what I put on my 243. It's my full moon gun. 56mm obj. and 2.5 on the low end. I call it poor mans night vision. It works great and won't break the bank. Scope had held it's zero through lots of bouncing around. It's a little heavy but worth its weight in low light

It's a Konus scope. I bought it cause it has a 30mm tube and 56mm obj yet the low setting is 2.5x and high is 14x No other scope does that. It's really good for hoghunting low light. I can't find it for sale anymore. Looks like they changed it to a 50mm obj. Still a good scope I bet. I own all vortex and one Schmidt bender which are high quality/high dollar scopes but this cheap holds up with the best
