I purchased this rifle today at a local estate auction. Itís very clean but has rubber pad with correct LOP. This is very unfortunate because I really like the inletted factory steel butt plate these rifles came with. Which pad can I put on this Gun to make the best of the situation? Iím thinking of a red rubber Winchester Repro pad?? What are your suggestions?

I have one with the metal factory plate that I might could swap you if youíre interested. LOP is short on mine and Iíd love to have some recoil reduction.

Patriot, does your Gun have factory steel butt plate and factory LOP?

I'll take a picture of the buttplate. I know nothing about these guns. Mine was my grandpa's. It's a 1963 model, so I'm not sure if they're a direct swap or not.

I'll take a measurement from the trigger to the butt so you can see what LOP is.

PM me with your cell number so I can text you pics later.

Pachmayr Decelerator Old English is a nice, clean-looking pad.

I would put it back to as close to original condition as possible (authentic Winchester steel buttplate) and just use a slip-on recoil pad for shooting/hunting with it.
