Post photos of your late season bucks here to encourage those (including myself) that things can turn around in a single, late season hunt.

I looked back over the several bucks I have killed, and most have been in Dec.

Shot around Christmas several years ago! Nobody on the place had seen him before. My dad saw him in the morning and was tagged out. I went back there for the evening hunt and low and behold he came back. It was before we used trail cameras, who knows maybe we would have seen him every day if we had them.

95% of the bucks I have taken were in December, most of them the last 2 weeks. This year was a bit different, saw a nice one on 12/1 chasing does and took him....after he took care of 2 does while I was waiting to get a clear shot.

I needed this thread.... I've hunted hard this year and after seeing the same deer over and over and all the warm weather, I was losing a little hope. I damn sure won't give up though

Yes!! November was horrible for us. Very slow and often times getting skunked seeing no deer. Dec has to be better, and some rain to rot the acorns will be good!

True story: We hunt a 6ooo ac ranch north of Bridgeport. Several years ago, one of the guys who had not been on the lease at all, all season came in last Saturday evening of the season. Left that night with a big 10 pt . in the bed of his truck! I had hunted multiple times that year and hadn't even seen a shooter buck. Sometimes it just pays to be in the "right place at the right time ".

If you want some friendly advice, get a haircut and take a bath. You wouldn't get hassled so much.

It's definitely been a tough year although on my lease there have been bucks taken but for me I haven't see anything close to a shooter buck unless you include culls in this.

Recently got a gym membership, strange folks! I like to show up the roid zombies with my full motion curls with the 55lb. bells. Not their cheater short stroked light weights. It's holarious.

Even though I have seen a couple of real nice ones many times in November, I am holding out for a special one. The big boys will still move around you just have to be out there and get lucky up
Maybe thats why they call it hunting confused2

3" of snow at the ranch yesterday, preceded by 1" of rain. I'm sure the bucks are going nuts, but it's too sloppy down there to hunt. bang 30 miles N of Laredo. I may head down there early next week after it dries out a little.

Cool huh? That was taken yesterday with a real camera. Not a trail cam. If she puts the camera down she might have a chance. Bucket list buck. Claims she's gonna stop hunting deer forever after that one if she gets it. She was taking pics when it walked out. No gun in sight.
