I have used Cerakote on several of my own guns and think its a fantastic product. I know there are other types and brands out there, which have you used or have on your own guns? Give your opinions and if you applied it yourself , what was involved?

I used Houts for a couple of guns, worked pretty well.
Coatings

I used Blue Wonder on a S&W Model 10 about the years ago, and it is holding up pretty well BUT I have found that surface rust forms on it prettu easily. That could be due to the texture I created by blasting with glass (I think that's what I used for blasting, but CRS comes into play). You must follow the instruction with BW or it just does not work at all.

I've also used Moly Resin a few times on small parts and a Charter Arms revolver. It seems to hold up well. I am about to do a complete rifle with it for the first time. We'll see how that goes.

I would really like to try the KG Gun-Kote. KG I think is out of Austin area. and I have heard good things but just don't know much about it
