Been hunting on Ft Hood for quite a while now with my shotgun with rifled barrel. The shotgun is a Remington Wingmaster that my grandpa purchased brand new in the early 70s. I added a rifled barrel to it and began killing hogs on a regular basis. A couple weeks ago i got the ok from Pulsar to run my thermal on my shotgun so I put my thermal on top and went to work. Didnít find any sounders but got 2 solo boars on the maiden voyage.

Before anyone asks. The reason Iím using shotgun rather than rifle like I normally would is because Ft Hood hunting regulations only allow rifles on guided hunts, in unguided areas you are limited to what they consider limited range weapons. Bows, muzzleloader, or shotgun so I had to improvise.

Well done Sir! I'm guessing the setup worked like a charm......any issues with recoil?

Awesome job! The 870 Wingmaster is what we sell the most of, in the way of shotguns, here at the pawn shop. I like them too.

I LOVE wingmasters. My first gun was a 20 ga. hand me down wingmaster. It amazes me that you can pick up a 20 year old 870 and it pumps smooth as silk yet the new 870's out of the box feel like they have sand in the action on every pump. Nice setup!
