1800 acre low fence, fully guided, high quality hunts along the Red River, approximately 2.5 hours northwest of Fort Worth, in Wilbarger County. We would like to harvest two more "trophy bucks" and several more does to close out the season on this particular ranch. Those that book as individuals will have the ranch and guide to themselves. We can accommodate one small group at a time, not to exceed 3 guns/hunt. We significantly limit the number of deer taken each year to ensure a quality experience. 100% doe hunter success and kids are welcome. Multiple dates available. No lodging on ranch, but there are hotels within a 10 minute drive. All transportation to, on, and from the ranch is provided by us.
Prices: Guide Fees = $350/full day or $250 for 1/2 day (evening hunt only) $1,250 for 9 point or less $1,550 for 10 point or more $600 for cull at guides discretion $250/doe PM, or call or text 940.636.6061 for more details.

I have hunted with Canis the last couple of years and think very highly of him. I have already highly recommended him to friends and family and will certainly continue to do so. Every experience with him has been absolutely top notch.
I went on a trophy hunt with him last year, and even though I was unable to connect with one of the bucks I was after, I booked another trophy hunt with him this year without hesitation. I also took my nieces on a doe hunt with him last year. It was their first time ever deer hunting and they each connected on a FAT doe within 10 minutes (maybe more like 5) their first day out. They still talk about it and are asking to go again. The property is absolutely covered in healthy fat deer and other game. Canis is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and professional. He will go above and beyond to ensure that you have a safe hunt and a great experience.
I went on this year's trophy hunt with him this past weekend. The deer were fully in rut and we saw a lot of action. Friday morning we jumped a nice 8 or 9 point walking back from the blind, but I was unable to get the scope on him quickly enough and ended up being thankful for that. Friday evening we saw a ton of deer but no trophies, an absolutely massive boar (which I passed on), and a coyote (which I gave a bullet). Saturday was rough with seemingly hurricane force winds as the cold front blew in. We hunted anyway and still saw a fair number of deer. That evening we saw a nice wide 8 but it was a few minutes after legal time so he got a pass. There again, I ended up being glad I didn't get a shot at him as I was greatly rewarded Sunday morning. Sunday morning was crisp, cold, and completely silent and still. About 730, a really heavy 10 point that we had seen a couple times on the cameras walked out 25 yards west of us on the trail of a hot doe. He crossed maybe 50 yards in front of us and I was able to connect with him. Of course, I was elated and practically stupid with buck fever pretty much the rest of the day. I'm still floating a bit.
Sorry about the wall of text. I just really wanted to share my experience with yall and brag on Canis. If you're looking for a great experience for yourself or your family or friends, I would highly recommend giving him a holler. Feel free to pm me if you have any questions or want to talk more before booking with him.
Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving.

*** Also feel free to PM and I can send some pics via text if you want them. I'm not sure how to post them here since Photobucket went South.
