I have an every boaters parka that's 9 seasons old now and it finally just blew out. I'd recommend one of those. I bought another for each of my dogs

I have a cabelas vest that is 3 mil and a red head that is 5 mil. Both took some tailoring to get a good fit. Both are good vests but the cabelas is more adjustable regarding fit. Unless it is really cold my dogs hate wearing vests.

Mine wears the academy dog vest when it's in the 20's and it does ok. This will be only the second season so it might not hold up very well. But it was cheap

I recently went to Cabelas and purchased their name brand vest. We tried on several and this one fit her best. She has worn it on several hunts and is holding up fine. The fit is ok and we had to do a little trimming to the back section. Overall pleased with the product. I would have liked a hand grip on the top of the vest to lift her out of water if needed but the vest with that feature did not fit her well. Here is the link to the Cabelas vest

Here is Whiskey in the vest.
