Considering heading down to POC over the holiday for some duck hunting. Curious if anybody has been down after Harvey passed through. Are any of the duck blinds still standing from last year.

The blinds we hunted the last few years are all gone.

We only had about a 3 foot storm surge in town but the houses were protected from waves because of BlackBerry island. The bay didn't get that protection and the blinds took a beating. The one big taco stand we hunted two years in a row was on six 4 by 4 posts buried in the ground. It held all of our fat arses and never wiggled. It's sitting on top of BlackBerry island right now. Legs all snapped off.

Went fishing (and generally just exploring around the bay) about a month after the storm.....entire islands simply gone......lots of things moved around considerably.....we stayed over on the Palacios side of the bay....I've been going down there for over 40 years and was shocked by how much had been changed....
