I'll just stick with a jerk string for near nothing cost and no batteries.

There are definately lots of options but in my humble opinion, there just isn't another decoy out there with such realistic motion. I thought others might agree but getting most people to address the opening topic is like trying to shoot a duck with a slug blindfolded. Lol
To be fair, I think 3 or so commented on it's movement. Haha

There is no best in my opinion they all work better at different times and circumstances. Higdons, Lucky duck mallard machines and the good old fashion jerk rig. Some work better in big spreads small spreads and very shallow water I think really got to have them all.
I would say use the Mallard machine the least because it’s a pain in the arse to set up-Looks like conditions ideal for it Saturday a.m.

I don't care how realistic it is. It could have real feathers on it, walk up and down the bank and do the duck dance and I still would not be interested at that price point. I have done fine with stationary decoys that are over 30 years old, beat up, and original paint. So "most realistic" is not a selling point for me. It would have to be on a 50% to 75% clearance before I would even take a second look. When I pulled the youtube up I did see a similar decoy with the flipping head. So similar that one or both of these companies may be be violating someones patent. It is only a little more than half the cost of the one posted. I doubt I would buy it either though. The same company did have another one that I did like better than either of the head spinners that just bobs the head under water like a feeding duck and makes splashes. Also almost half the cost down in some of the higdon/mojo motion decoy price ranges. That one I might consider if I was in the market. http://www.bandedmallard.com/ But I am not. For two motion decoys that will cover most situations, nothing is going to beat out the fast strobe effect of a spinner and your basic jerk string rig.

Let me tell you that drake wake would be like the wonder duck. All you need unless it's 32 degrees outside. Then it's trash..

Ok. The motion is pretty darn good. At $1,500 for a half dozen it's not something I would consider.

Come on man? Wonder Duck makes the best motion decoys, bar none. They were the first, still the best & as a bonus. Made in Texas. Great but pretty cheaply made- used one this am

Ill hunt with motion decoys whenever someone else brings them. All I own is a jerk cord and kill plenty of public land ducks with it.

I would say use the Mallard machine the least because it’s a pain in the arse to set up-Looks like conditions ideal for it Saturday a.m. I got one before last season to setup at my brother's place, but he never got any real numbers so never hunted it but a couple of times. Last Sunday was perfect at the deer lease, zero wind. Spent 10 minutes untangling the cords, ran back to the layout, hooked it up... no go. Got it back home to see what was up. Battery was fine, switch was good, connection OK. The motor had locked up. Jacked with it a bit and it started working. Gonna give it a whirl back out there again when the wind is light. I've heard good things.

If you can keep the mallard machine packed away nice and neat and hunt a place where you have a long enough chord to reach your blind, there's no better motion on the market. Ducks will try to sit on top of it. I've killed tons of ducks a foot above the decoys. My only gripe is the length of the chord, which you could lengthen yourself I guess. Also, it's not a light throw in your pack and walk in a half mile to a secluded spot type of decoy. It's a "drive your truck to your private stock pond or swamp and unload it" type of decoy.

It is hard to beat the ripples produced by a jerk rig. It is just a pain in the butt and likes to get tangled up

Guy asked for opinions on his product then got mad that he got opinions on his product Nah, not mad in the least. And what I asked was for feedback on how people think it looks from a "realism standpoint". But hey, the diverse directions these topics flow is what makes them fun.

It's been a hot producer in my spread. 100 percent natural looking. Swims, dives, and adds motion.

Same here. I don't like dealing with the strings.

I just received two Higdon Pulsator XS decoys. The batteries are built in to the decoy. Super easy to set up. Testing them out this weekend. I'll let you know!
