second time in two weeks we have seen these dudes....I got one a few weeks ago with my son. figured that was a once in a lifetime thing. spent most of the morning setting up feeder. (late start this year.) spent most of the afternoon clearing brush and making ton of noise. we decided to sit and see if anything would come in. 30 min after getting settled...this dude walks out. crazy.  this time my daughter takes the shot. this monster never new what hit him. she got her first deer 5 years ago on my birthday at 11. tops it with this one on my birthday this year. between fredericksberg and boerne. 20 acres (surrounded by 5 acres lots) measured 36 1/4" by taxidermy guy. winchester model 70 featherweight 243. hornady reduced recoil. good times. coonsaw

Congrats! Funny you should mention all of the noise prior to the harvest. I have a good friend who guides and says that he often purposely makes more noise than usual when hunting axis, that it seems to bring them in because they are expecting feed.
