I think we are going to lose our lease at the end of this season. Looks like the ranch sold and from what I can tell they are going to either kick us off or change it up quite a bit.
Got me thinking what can a fellow get for $3000-$4000 a year per gun. I have 6 guys and we are thinking about adding exotics to our interests.
What areas offer the best chance for free range Axis, Audad, Fallow, Blackbuck? Also still want a good whitetail herd.

Edwards and Kerr county would be a good place to start.

Edwards and Kerr county would be a good place to start. Yessir. Both of those counties have lots of axis and blackbuck. Parts of Real County as well. Some of those ranchers price a little higher in recognition of the exotics and let you shoot whatever. Some price just for whitetail then let you pay extra if you shoot an exotic. I bet other people here can add some details.

Real, Bandera, northern Medina and northern Uvalde counties are probably the best if you are looking for free range exotics. Especially Real. Mainly because there are fewer high fences and lots of creek/river bottoms. While Kerr has the most exotics by far, we are mostly high fenced. Good luck!

Val Verde isn't too bad if you can get something along the Devil's river.

Bandera Co up on the river has free range trophy Axis. Not sure how big a place you want...6 hunters may be hard to find a place for....2-3 should have plenty of options.... Good luck!
