Will be hunting our place in Throckmorton December 14-18th, making the drive to Tyler, and back to Arizona on the 23rd.
Wanted to see if there are processors or anyone that does that does their own, has a quick turnaround that I could potentially drop off and pick up on the way out. I had my axis shipped to me over the summer from CCR and that cost a fortune. If you're in the Fort Worth or Tyler area, let me know.
Thanks.

I'd sure give Dan's Smokehouse (just north of Weatherford) consideration, I bet you can call Dan and ask him for an idea on turn around, they are str8 up people with great customer service. http://blog.internetjerky.com/deer-processing-texas-dans-smokehouse/

14th to 23rd, shouldn't be much problem for any processor. 18th to 23rd, cutting it close, IMO.
Choot em early!

Ray's in Breckenridge on west Walker would be a good choice or Clear Fork on 380 east in Graham.

I got my critter quartered and on ice, done and picked up from a Saturday mid afternoon dropoff to Wednesday midafternoon pickup this week. All hand cut, deboned and cut to order.
Call Kurt Pickens, southeast of Buffalo about 20 minutes. Strong recc from Archie VanWey at Buffalo Sporting goods. Very fair prices and competitive with Greens outside of Temple, the 2 Sisters near Frankston on FM 315 just off Hwy 155 in the Elmwood Community, and even Eckerman's near Round Top that said 2-3 weeks for the turnaround, with all the smoked sausage and meat they are famous for.
Since I am coming from Palestine I drop south of Oakwood & Hwy 79 midway'ish 'tween Buffalo & Palestine about the same distance (and south past the turnoff to Keechi Creek WMA)for about 10+ minutes on FM 891 I think it is, to FM 1511 and 3.5 miles past the Flo Community VFD bldg that faces 1511 just below the corner. PM me for his phone #. Ron

I probably misread what you wrote, but if you are in Tyler, why not take it to Patrick at Circle M Meats? I've tried 4 different meat processors in Tyler and he is by far the best!!! https://www.facebook.com/circlemmeats/

Process it your self, freeze it and get dry ice and carry it home.
