Excited to hunt this coming week on the ranch. We've done a lot of work to hold a good grouping of deer on our section. Seeing some decent growth over years past and have a good group of 2-3 year old bucks. Cams show a couple mature deer we're hoping to see in daylight. Hoping the rut will have a few more up and moving around we're yet to see.

Anyone hunt around the area or have any reports of deer movement in the area?

Slow right now. Weather change should help a bunch. Good luck.

Front blew through and it was dark all night. Hoping to see some daytime movement this week.

How’s it looking out there? I hunt just south of pecan bayou off 279. We saw decent movement this past weekend, but the wind didn’t help much. I had to head back in Saturday night. My buddies are still out hunting and I am waiting for an update.

Very little movement even when calm and cold. Bucks not chasing and very nocturnal.

I had a lease for a few years off of CR 292 in Early. Lots of good deer, but I think they all knew how to tell time. In the mornings, there would be anywhere from 5-15 deer at the feeder and right about the time it was legal shooting time, they scattered. Same thing in the evening.
