I've had it almost 3 weeks. Once I got it home, I filled it with red diesel. Now the odometer is reading 55 miles. The fuel gauge has not moved off "full".

No it is not loud at idle.
No it is not loud while running cross country. At idle, and while throttled up it is quieter than my 2007 Ranger gasser.

High gear top speed is 30 mph, and it'll get there plenty quick. Low gear top speed is 15 mph, and I really think it'll pull my 10,000 pound truck.

The ride is quite good.

Converting from one bench seat to two is pretty easy.

The bed size in the long bed configuration is quite generous, 55" wide X 43 1/2" long.

Only rattle I've noticed is the bed floor when nothing is in the bed. I think I'll add a few welds. If that doesn't fix it, I'll add another cross member. Course, the bed hasn't been empty since the second day I had it.

I like my mule DX too. Single seat, a little longer bed. I think it’s loud, but I’ve got nothing to compare it to. It make the neighborhood deer stampede. It is a fuel miser!

Compared to my 2005 Yamaha Grizzy 660, and the 2007 Polaris Ranger 700 I did have, this one is quiet.

I have a 2016 DX and so far I like it better than anything I've had. Just did the 200 hour maintenance on it and no problems. Only complaint is it's loud. Maybe from what you say they fixed that problem with the new model. I'm on diesel machinery a lot so used to engine noise but if mine was a bit quieter I'd like it even better.

There’s gona be a difference in what people consider loud. If you never owned an old ranger or ryno then you don’t know loud

I might put some more here for further reduction of exhaust noise::

Leswad, now I see. The bed sheet metal did rattle at idle, with an empty bed. I contemplated adding more square tubing, to the skeleton, and adding some welds. Looks to be aluminum, but I have the ability to weld aluminum. I think Kawasaki needs to address this as it seems to be common in all Mules.

On my Kubota I got one of those 3/8 inch thick rubber bed liners they use in pickup beds. Cut out a piece for the bed. Also used the rest to line the floor boards. It helped a lot.

No problem... not a cure, but it does help a bit.

I just ran my DX hard for six days on a bird hunt in rough country and it used between 8-9 gallons of fuel for the entire hunt. A gas engine put through this would have likely used 5 gallons or more a day. Never ran hot enough for the fan assist to come on. It may be a little loud but it is a good set up for hard use.

There's 6 bars dividing the fuel gauge. I'm down two bars (1/3, or 33%) after 73 miles. I don't know if the bottom bar flashes when empty, but I will run it until it is empty. Potentially, per the math, it would run 210 miles on one tank. That would be impressive if it does.

I upgraded to a diesel Kubota and love the diesel.

Much quieter than my Ranger gas powered. Much better gas mileage. I love the torque over the snappier power of the gas Ranger. Perfect for creeping along in high gear all day. Doesn't start running rich like the gas motors. I'll give up the top end speed for that trade any day. up
