Nice video.

Probably would of been an iffy shot at that distance anyway with that buck on full alert after rattling him in. At 40 yards, chances are good he would of jumped the arrow. And if he does and you hit high out of the vitals you would probably never see him again.

If I were you I would put a buck decoy out and use a grunt call. Good luck. up

My next step would have been to locate that yapping dog and make sure my bow was sighted in correctly.

My guess is 4 1/2 which probably is young to shoot a deer on a large ranch. I only have 12 acres and I've seen some of the deer the neighbors have shot lol
