Put my wife in a blind this evening and the chair is infested with with those little seed ticks. She scrubbed in the shower for an hour and we still keep finding them. How do you get rid of these and do they carry diseases?

Not as apt to carry disease as grown ticks that but still don't like to risk things. Don't remember the amount but a few capfuls of Clorox in bath water will kill the little boogers. that is what we did as kids growing up in Mississippi.
After the bath inspect again for any of the tiny pests.

Nuetrogena T gel is what we use to get rid of those little bastards. I have used Kmon's method of a few parts water and some bleach before I found out about T gel. It worked.

Picked up some lice shampoo with permetherin. We'll see how that goes. She has them real bad. Hopefully she will come hunting again.

Check and check again. The seed ticks are the worst if they are carriers of any disease. The are the hardest to detect and spend more time on the host. I asked the doc and that's what he told me.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

Been down that road many times. The bleach method works well. After that, you may have to break the tweezers and magnifying glass to finish up. They always seem to gather in places where clothes are tight, sock tops, around the waist area, and at the joints behind the knees and under the arm. The little farts crawl faster than anything I know of for that size.

For whatever reason, the chair she was sitting on happened to be infested.

Dust the chair with Borax, then repeat every week until you don't see any more fleas in the blind.

Roach bomb the blind. Off does help. Sorry for her, nothing I have enouctered itches as bad or as long as tick bites.
The seed ticks have been BAD at our place the past 2 years. This year we have had our share, but no little ones.

spray pemetherine on the chair and the rest of the blind. I would give it a couple treatments. They wont live or stay.

We bombed our blinds every year, before the season started. Took care of spiders & wasps too.

I feel sorry for her.
My enclosed blinds get a can of flea fogger the weekend before season starts. The clothing spray is also better than Off for your cloths
We all need to practice Whoa more.

She usually goes once a year anyway. I'm sure she'll go again but hasn't mentioned it.

Coat her cloths with Pemethrine and let dry. Even if she sets in a nest... they will not bother her.
