My dad, kids, and I had a great hunt Saturday morning. I didn't get to take a lot of photos, but had time to take a few.
We had 7 or 8 coveys pointed Saturday morning and we didn't start till nearly 10. We only had one dog down at a time and thought there were plenty of birds to hunt. Here is what I did notice the coveys were noticeably smaller, but they are usually always smaller at the first of the season and overall I think it will still be a good season. We hunted in Kent County.

Awesome pics. Makes me miss it worse. Can't walk long anymore so 10k for UTV, 5k for a lease if you can find one and about 3-4 honest dogs. I'll just see it in pictures! up

I was worried about the lower rainfall totals for this year vs. last year.

You need to change your signature picture. This would look great there.

The cactus will slow down a new dog that has never ran through it before, but mine seem to just go right through it and never look back. I have never booted my dogs and the place in kent County is our families place and unfortunately it is loaded with cactus. I have never been to another place as bad as it as far as cactus. The only thing that has ever slowed my dogs down was hunting some sandy land in Garza Co. And although I didnít boot them I should have as the grass burrs sure slowed them down.
