I am in Nolan County. Slow this year. No hard freeze, minimal activity. No dead deer......yet. How is your wooded area?

Knox County cool and wet. Saw 4 small bucks yesterday morning, hoping they move in this weather today.

POlk County very slow. Youth weekend and the cold snap was great. Since then not much activity.

Slow and hot bow season. Only one buck killed during bow season. Had 3 bucks killed opening weekend and one other one killed this past Saturday. Only a few hogs as well.

As above no freeze to kill off the natural browse and feeder activity was very slow until this last week. Lots of broken antlers and main beams this year.

2 dead yotes and a pig for me. It’s awful hot. Watched a little buck under my feeder for an hour last weekend.
Eight does not 100 yards from him and he didn’t give two chits. He’d look then go back to eating.

Par for the course. Ranchette neighbors burning powder at an alarming rate, when not having 4 wheeler races. I hunt the fringes of my property this time of year, but not the actual property line, because I don't want to get hit by a stray bullet. Let the pressure move the deer into the center of my place, then hunt the edges of the sanctuaries. Has worked well over the years. Consistently kill bucks in the 120s-to low 140s, while the neighbors don't even know these deer exist. Still very frustrating, listening to the racket, and seeing the feeders/blinds lined up along my fence. Just have to be patient, and calm.

Thank you...thank you very much

Haven't even hunted yet since opening weekend. Only hunted 2 days during bowseason. I gotta find a lease not 8 hours from home.

Similar experiences for us in Brown county. What part of the county are you in?

Unreal for me. I've seen 11 different bucks since gun opener. Only 3 doe. Weird.

I guess it depends, I've seen a lot of deer, mostly bucks. But not a shooter yet but I'm still hopeful! We have a lot of culls that need to be removed. I've enjoyed the hunts immensely. And to top it off I got a red fox yesterday morning. I took it to the taxi today he he thought I mistook a grey for a red until he opened the garbage bags and saw it. There was complete surprise on his face. He told me he has never seen one while hunting but he sees then a lot on his way to work, in town. I asked him how many he gets and he told me he gets them very seldom. I my turkey and this fox will be my last non deer mount I get done. They are just getting too costly to do but I've always wanted a red fox and after getting my first gobbler with my paw paws call it was a no brainer getting the turkey done...sorry I got off track/topic.

Very slow around the Voca area. Massive acorn drop this year, and the deer aren't coming to the feeders unless they're bored. I've seen a couple of very young, very small doe, and one decent buck in about 12-14 hours of blind-sitting! Listening to the sweat drip down my back and swatting mosquitoes and dog-pecker gnats. I'm through until the first Blue Norther blows in!

The only bucks I've seen so far were along county roads. Lots of acorns has meant zero food plot activity. Took one of four doe that I saw this past weekend while trail watching.

Seeing mostly small bucks 4 point is big. Had some nice bucks on camera before season started. Zero bigger bucks on camera or in feeder pen.

About the same for me too. On the Jack/Archer line. Seeing deer just nothing mature yet. I have jumped a couple bigger deer already with doe. But at the same time I am seeing plenty of doe with nothing interested in them either.

Even though I have not harvested a deer yet, I am seeing decent numbers and that is pretty good considering all of the Acorns.

Having a great time, but the 9 point I was targeting broke off his entire left side at the brow tine. Bright side, he no longer meets the AR requirements so he should make it to next year and hopefully bigger.

I have a deer problem on my hog lease!!!
