If a bow is advertised as having a 150# draw weight, Must I be able to lift 150# with my foot in the stirrup? I am old and feeble and I would like to be able to bow hunt.

Thanks!

Crossbow with 150 you will be lifting about 80lbs when using a cocking rope, but if the powerstroke of he bow is 10 inches you will be pulling it back 20 inches.

Katy is not that far from League City, go oer to Cabela's there and use them and their range to see what will work for you. They will work with you to find one that works.

Added expense but there are basically winches for you to just crank it back.

Don't see it much in stores but Parker bows makes the Concord that uses CO2 to pull it back for you.

125lbs is the minimum crossbow poundage to hunt with in Texas with a crossbow. Parker challenger is a youth model that comes at 125lbs and is light weight for a crossbow. Little bow kills critters just fine and it being a smaller bow it is light weight and short on the pull back compared to many
