SS 3-15 is a dang good scope for the money. The only thing that it lacks is optical clarity. Is Tasco the manufacturer of this line of scopes?

Designed a bunch of scopes is the most accurate way to describe Tasco. They would design them and then contract oriental manufactures to build them to spec. The SS is now an SWFA product. SWFA purchased the product line prior to Tasco conceding to bankruptcy only to later sell their assets to Bushnell. When we acquired the line, we redesigned it completely. Then after working closely with a manufacture in Japan turned out a great product. The SS is only available from SWFA. We would be happy to discuss and sell you one if it is something you would be interested in. Additionally if you have any questions regarding the SS, I'm happy to supply any information that isn't considered proprietary (need to know) information.

Now I know what you mean, because you my friend have become spoiled rotten with your SWFA SS 5-20X50 HD. Sadly the 3-15X isn't available in HD, although it is clear, you can see through it. We use the same lenses in our fixed power scopes that are in the 3-15X. Of which many have found to be favorable. Again, Jason I know what you mean't. But I had to get you on optical clarity.

It was bad enough, I made me change my mind on wanting one. If you recall, I demo-ed an XTR II 3-15X because that magnification range is super handy. 10 yards to 1000 yards, it'll do it all. Then I gave you a call, and said yall would do much better if you offered the SS 3-15X in HD glass. I'm still correct. Now I'm really spoiled: NF ATACR F-1 5-25X Bushnell ERS 3.5-21X SS 5-20X HD SS 1-6X (on the 16" AR-15) "You can't hit what you can't see." I got off one of my scopes listed above, and got behind the SS 3-15X, and said, Ok, I'm done. You know I'll tell the truth, and have recommended the SS 5-20X HD, and the 1-6X more times than I cam remember, but the clarity of the SS 3-15X left some to be desired.

I LOVE the LRHS 3-12, they nailed it!
I had it out last yesterday evening and was comparing it against my Leica 10x42 binos into darkness and the glass held it's own...
The 4.5-18 didn't impress me as much, it has a tighter eyebox.
Me and another guy that does reviews for us both feel you can't beat the LHRS 3-12, we have compared it in the blind to scopes costing 3x as much.

You do tell the Truth, it's one of the things that I admire most about you. You leave all the BS and bravado to the side lines. My point is, with the 3-15X you can see through it. While your thoughts on the optical quality left you wanting more, it's not a black hole.

someone asked about the LRS and LHRS, the LRS is not in the same league as the LHRS. The LH may have better features, but the glass in my LRS is pretty nice. It's also significantly cheaper than the LH, so you may not expect them to be in the same league.
