I've been trying to shoot up some off-brand ammunition I've accumulated over the past several years. This is the highest failure rate for a single box of ammunition that I've ever experienced.

are you ok? hows your gun? I'm fine. Thanks for asking. Pistol (Glock 17,) in all outward appearances, seems okay. I just field stripped it a time or two for inspection. I'll break it down further this evening.

Isn't that remanufactured ammo? Yes, it is. Bought this batch from Cabela's on closeout. I'm quite aware almost every manufacturer says in their warranty or instructions not to use reloaded, handloaded, re-manufactured ammunition. I suspect what happened here was a combination of things. Poor QC on the re-manufactured ammunition and the Glock not having a fully supported chamber.

Why would you keep shooting it? I knew that question was coming and it was deserved. I just couldn't imagine it was that bad of a box. Very stupid choice.

Please notify Cabela’s, the manufacterer, and the ATF. They need to issue a recall right now and conduct an inspection of the manufacturer. You are proof guardian angels exist. WOW!

Have put many thousands of rounds of 9mm through Glock pistols over the years, including +P and +P+ rounds. Never seen anything like that, though...
I’ve shot several boxes of Ultramax .357 Mag and .40 S&W with no issues. Was not very accurate, but didn’t blow cases either.

That does need to be brought to Ultramax attention and I am sure they would appreciate the heads up and take care of it. I have used some of thier 223 Ammo with excellent results

Holy smokes batman. It almost looks like the wrong brass was used. Lead fouling could cause that too. Glad you are not injured.
One shot is all it should take.

What are some of the best and worst 9mm one might use? Federal American Eagle is good quality practice ammo. Winchester white box quality has dropped to very poor quality. Had one in 38 Special split open this year and several fail to fire in both 9mm and 45 ACP.
