Im going to be that guy....

New to Corpus and never hunted this area of Texas, I've got my heart set on knocking down some of those whistling ducks you see all around the area and was wondering if anyone knows a decent spot to set up for them. I've been scouting all week and it seems everywhere I find them it ends up being in places I cant hunt. Any advice would be awesome!

I would go with smarter not harder.

I don't live there so I can't help. Good luck though

Go on Google Earth and look for pot holes / ponds in the marsh -------- the problem you will have is a lot of the guides have already found them.

I will give that a shot, thanks. Hunted Saturday up in Choke Canyon...we saw and heard a bunch of them but no luck in getting a pass shot on them.

TPWD biologist was at the boat ramp taking the heads for research, he said a group came in with a black bellied and a fulvous whistling duck, I didn't think that the fulvous whistlers were in these parts.

Get permission to hunt pretty much any sewage retention pond...They LOVE those!
