I bought a buck decoy that has worked pretty good this bow season. (didnt get a shooter, but have some good video of young bucks walking within a few feet of me and completely oblivious to my presence because they are enthralled with the decoy) . What do you guys think about setting one up near my feeder for tomorrow morning? I have never used one before this year, have had pretty good movement on cameras up till now, I dont want to scare anything away.... advice?

Never hurts to try I reckon. We are on the doorstep of the rut kicking in full throttle. I'd imagine you would get most benefits if you could set it out next to an opening, power line, pipe line or anything that could draw a testosterone jacked ole boy over. Best luck!

Buy a Tail-Wagger tail motion kit. Definitely a good upgrade for a deer decoy. The tail wagging makes the decoy look a lot more alive. I bought the tail wagger kit this year after my buddy had good luck with it up north and sent me the link to the company. He bow hunts over a Doe decoy with it and it seems to get the deer to come in closer for a shot. I was supposed to get out today but my knee is acting up so I will be back out hunting Wednesday with it. I am going to set mine up 5-10 yards from my feeder where I have been dumping Acorn Rage, Crush flavors and corn. It’s on the right side of a man made road on my buddies private property where my blind and feeder is set up. On the left side of the tree line, there is a trail that the deer use to get to their bedding areas. There is a cross road at the top that runs left to right where my feeder is. But setting the decoy up on the right side across from the trail will give the deer the best view of the decoy from a distance so they can get relaxed before coming in to check the Doe decoy out. Definitely put an orange vest on it and wear a orange hat while setting it up because there are a lot of morons out there. Check out the Tail Wagger kit. I use it with their synthetic deer hair tail. http://tail-wagger.com
