Checkering is a lost art now a days, but is there anyone close to the DFW that does checkering. I have a .264 mag that is unfinished, that i would like to have finished for my dad.

That's an open ended question in that it's all about where you want to be regarding $$$. One of the site members TDK can certainly do the work: http://texashuntingforum.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/users/6121He's not cheap, but his work pretty much speaks for itself.

Thank you guys for putting my name out there. While I do checkering, these days I'm far too busy to take on any smaller projects. I've also put in motion a price minimum for me to take on new work, and you'd be crazy to pay said price for just checkering. I would recommend boxing up your stock and sending it here. She does great work and is very reasonable. http://www.checkering.com/2003_price_list.htm
