Hey all!

I am looking for a Blue Lacy for my dad (preferably a female)-- he turned 80 this year and, though he won't admit it, mom says she can tell he misses having a dog around. He is retired, but still pretty active -- works in his workshop, hunts, gardens. My parents live on seven acres just outside of Austin, so there is plenty of room to run and play -- they also have a large fenced yard. The dog would be indoors and out, but primarily would serve as a companion for my dad as he goes on walks, hunts, gardens, or works in his workshop. Looking for a weaned puppy to three years old and, while I also live in the Austin area, a road trip would be fun if the dog is outside of the Austin area. No need to worry about what would happen should my dad pass in a few years -- my mom misses having a dog as well, and I wouldn't mind an extra fur ball in my mix. Would love to have her by Christmas or before, but wouldn't be opposed to early 2018. If it's an adult, spayed would also be preferable, but if not, she will most definitely be spayed early on.

Thanks!!

I think Cane Rosso Rescue might have a Lacy.
I don't remember if it was male, or female.
They have a webpage, and a facebook page.

They fully vet all the dogs, spay.
Crate, and potty train them.
I like that they are very honest about the dogs in their care.
And can tell you if they are good with kids, other dogs, and what type of manners the dogs have.

Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden.
Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.
