Anyone know what the overall length an SBR with and 8.5" barrel is? For form 1 purposes.

You need to know what stock you are putting on it. If it is a collapsible stock, use the full extended length.

Yes it would be a collapsible stock. I haven't bought all the parts yet because I want to wait till I get the paperwork done and then see what products are available at the time. However, I need to complete the form. Just curious if anyone else has received a completed and accepted form 1 with this info recently.

My 10.5 inch SBR is 30 inches overall with magpul stock extended. So I would say 28 inches would be good to go on your form1

My 8" with micro stock is 24" overall so I'd say Sapper is pretty close with the 28" estimate.

I have an 8" SBR with a Magpul CTR on it and the overall length is 27" with the stock fully extended.

Mine is 8.2" barrel and I guesstimated at 25" on the Form 1 and it was accepted. Probably should have been longer but I didn't measure after it was built.

I wouldn't get too hung up on OAL, it doesn't have to be precise, just a good estimate. I listed 27" OAL on my 10.5" AR SBRs and all got approved without issue.
