I went to the range today with my 1971 Marlin 3030. Only have shot Winchester or Remington ammo.

Decided to try the Leverolution ammo. It shot fine out of this gun. I am making a switch and will not go back, unless it don't perform well on game.

I was pretty pumped and am now looking for a 308 or 338 marlin express in stainless....

I tried to figure that out years ago. I keep mine with open sights since I one many scopes rifles. With open sights I've found any cheap soft point or core loc type bullet cause it hits so hard it doesn't matter.
If you were going to scope it I'd use leverlotion ammo.

You won't be disappointed; bullet is bonded, and 200 MORE fps - worth every penny of the additional $5 a box over the cheap stuff!
Sighted in 1" high at 100 you're good to go out to 200 - 250 . . ..

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

I bought a 30-30 year before last, and went the LeveRevolution route. I absolutely love this ammo up just as you stated, sighted it in 1" high and 100 yards, and earholed a sow at 192 yards to test it. Have killed a couple deer with it, no tracking needed. Hate to hear of the loss mentioned above, but I haven't found that to be an issue. Hope that rings true...I'll keep using the LeveRevolution. Most of my shots are under 150 yards anyways, but the creek is roughly 225 yards away if the old buck decides he doesn't wanna venture out into the pastures
