People have complained about that clatter on the vortecs since they came out. Some insist there is something wrong with them. We have owned several that have done it from day one through high miles and never a problem.

Will do. Have a lot of stuff to take off my old truck. Only thing I hate about getting a new one.

Just got financing approved! Went through my local credit union. Much cheaper rate. Dealer is still trying to get a trade deal with two other dealers for roughly same truck with one or two different options. Might be Monday before I have hands on it.

My 2007 Chevy Classic 4WD 2500 HD with Duramax has just turned 350000 miles with no problems with engine or 6 speed Allison, just changed filters and fluids regularly. Added 4" exhaust and KN filter and it gets 19mpg. Pulled every thing with it, Some other mechanical issues, particularly with front wheel bearings. Paint job is shot due to lots of offroad driving on W Texas lease. Only reason I havn't replaced it with new GM is location of DEF tank. It would be torn off on first trip to lease. Some GM engineer should be fired. May spend a few grand updating this one. New Nissan with diesel may merit a look after another year.

Sounds like an LBZ. You will regret getting rid of it.
