Does anyone know when the new RT models are due to be released here in the US? Inquiring minds want to know.

Apparently there's another model:

Looks good!

If you find yourself feeling useless, remember it took 20 years, trillions of dollars, and four presidents to replace the Taliban with the Taliban.

Sometimes the Universe puts you in the same situation again to see if you’re still a dumbass.

They've been delayed in the US. I was told by Sightmark Friday no one knows if they will show up in the US before 2018. Now granted, they could ship this week and make me look stupid but I'm just repeating the official word.

The Photon XT's were released in the UK 5 months before we got the first shipment in the US in 2015. That obviously doesn't mean that's what will happen this time. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I just spoke with Sightmark again about these new models and the word is....don't expect to see them in the US until some time in 2018. Anything is possible but from what I was told, that isn't likely and from my guess, I'd be speculating towards spring of 2018. I think that's a good thing though, it lets them work out any bugs in the overseas models and then they will ready to go by the time we get them.

Any idea of the MSRP yet?

It's a shame they'll miss the Christmas season, but a certain company whose three letter name begins with an 'A' and ends with an "N" has demonstrated clearly enough what happens when you let your customers perform your beta testing for you.

I was given some info a few weeks ago and within 24 hours I was told the prices I was give were probably wrong.lol My best guesstimation is that for the 4.5x model we will be looking at $499-$649. That is 100% pure speculation but I don't see it being less than the current $499 for the 4.6x XT model and I don't see it being over $649. Again, this is nothing but my best guess based on history and the current market.

The cool thing is this is going to be the same Stream Vision software and app that the Pulsar Trail/Helion thermals use and it's been great. I've been extremely impressed with how well it works in the Pulsars.

I'm going to amend my earlier guesstimate on pricing. I'm starting to get a suspicion the prices on the Photon RT's are going to be more than the current crop of XT's. I'm going to guess and say we may see the 4.5x RT come in at $599, which would be a $100 increase over the current 4.6x XT. We will just have to wait until 2018 to see.

From what I've seen, I think they're worth the extra bill, but we'll see what we see.

They're coming. I just put in a pre-order for several of them. Don't know when but looks like will be 4 different variants. 2 magnifications and 2 different illuminators from what I understand.

Got to use these back in 2016 and will be a great upgrade to the Photon XT.
