Been using these with good success ever since they came out a few years ago -- 4 of them the 4 compass points around the stand. My semi-idle question is, whatever the repellent is, is it something that deer can smell? I can stick my nose right up to it and don't smell a thing. Put it in front of the dogs and there's no reaction other than that look, 'why the hail did you stick that thing in front of my nose?'.

This. If the dog didn't react to it then I say no to the deer

Had to order from Amazon, all the local stores sold out for the year. Just about everybody who sells bug sprays sells it spring & summer.
FWIW, refill is less than $2 and lasts me a whole weekend or longer. The little battery-fan-dispenser closes up when off to help save on evaporation. Pretty much useless when walking or still hunting but works good when you're keeping still on a stand.

I bought one a few years ago, stores stopped carrying them around me so no refills. I will stick with thermocell.

Looks they would be good for a blind if they are as effective as Thermacell. Definitely cheaper than Thermacell.
