I miss the youth days with my son but totally enjoyed bowhunting with him last weekend and every chance we get when he gets a break from school/work. Good luck and nothing better than making memories.

I will be out with my 13 year old for his first hopefully. We sat quite a bit last year but he never got a shot at anything. It was some good time together.

Yep. My 15 year old hopes to repeat last years youth hunt and knock down his 2nd buck.

I miss the youth hunt weekend, my daughter just turned 17 so this will be the first year we cannot participate during the youth weekend. She has been blessed to harvest (3) mature bucks in the past years but still doesn't want to hunt alone so I still will get to hunt some with her this year. Enjoy those early years while they last!

I'll be out with my son trying to get it done. Taking one of his buddies who has never been in the woods before. Hopefully I can get a second one hooked.

Good luck to those taking youths.

My nephews are getting to the age, but think they may have another year or two, will be exciting when they are ready.

Best of luck to all, I've always had to work these weekends. It's just the way my schedule has worked out over the years. We've always manage to get it done with the kiddos so I can't complain. Hope to see some pics soon!

Might try and get out tomorrow but my son had his tonsils taken out on Monday. If he's up to it we'll be out there in the morning and again in the afternoon. Otherwise he'll be with me on opening weekend.

We had a good day yesterday. My 13 year old got his first deer, pulled a spike out of the gene pool, watched a bobcat walk around our stand for about 15 minutes and then got to watch a nice 10 point buck come in to the feeder. We passed on the 10 point, because he was still a little young. I'm regretting that decision a little because I know the people leasing the properties around us don't tend to be as "long term" minded and will most likely shoot him if he walks out in front of them next weekend😒. My 13 year old was going on and on about what a good day it was. Definitely a memory for the books.

Well it was a good weekend even though we came up short. It sure does suck having a young person with you and the only thing that would hold still didn't meet the 13" rule. We saw a few which was better than last year.

My daughter took her first pig today. Wish the bucks would have showed up but she had fun. Out again now but it’s hot in the blind, wish it were cool like this morning.
