Here are a couple of nice bucks on the public land where I hunt. They have been nocturnal so far but hopefully will slip up soon.

Just nocturnal when they show up on your cam, they are up during daylight somewhere prob just not very easy to access.

Agreed Sapper!

I just haven't located the bedding area yet or where they are during daylight.

Working on it though.

Not hunting Hagerman.
I was going to start putting in this last go round but missed the deadline. I will be putting in on the draw starting this coming year.
Why do you ask Pitchfork?

Those are the type of bucks I've seen roaming around Haggerman is why I asked. That's the only public hunting in Texas that I've seen multiple mature bucks on camera like the ones you posted. Good luck this season. up

I think there is multiple mature bucks where I am because the hunters have educated them over the years.

I have been there for three years seeing this same large buck each year. I see very few deer while in the stand. I only had one shooter in range last year and he snuck up on me and I had no shot.

I am studying and trying to figure out the patterns to catch them during daylight. Hoping for a sighting during rut.

Try back tracking his trail until you see his bedding area without going into it. Hunt on the ground against a tree and tinkle some antlers together followed by some short grunt calls.
