I find the price high given the current economic situation of most of Spain, there are numerous other outfits and guides offering hunts for "representative" animals at or well below 6 grand.
There's definitely not a current shortage of ibex in any region of Spain, hunters would do well to do some shopping.

The truth is that there is a wide range of offers, there are outfits that use the best hunting concessions that cost a lot and then there are outfits that get leftover tags, where the chances of getting a nice ibex are a lot lower. It´s not the same to own your own concession with full right over all the tags or to buy tags only when you get a client. It´s not the same to be a company that only dedicates to outfitting or being a guide as a hobby besides your regular job.

There is an entire team working behind all this. It´s not the same to have an all inclusive hunt or a DIY hunt. The type of service (ph, interpreter, accommodation, restaurants) also makes a huge difference. And being completely legal and getting all the permits and authorizations as well. Not to mention paying over wires or paying cash and skipping taxes, that puts both the outfit and the PH at ridiculous risk. We can send you hundreds of cases in which low cost outfitters ran away when the police arrived and the hunters were left stranded in the mountains and only then realized that they were hunting illegally and got in huge problems.

Now, at the end of the day the hunter/client always has the freedom to choose whatever best adapts to their budget, but a high-end top notch hunt for a representative ibex in Spain will not sell for under 6 grand, ever.
