I have a food plot area but can't get any heavy equipment back to till and work the grounds. It is about 1.5 acres and is completely open way back in the woods. It is a perfect area but never can get anything back there. Any suggestions🤔

Kill off a bunch of growth with round up. Use a hard tine rake to mess up the dirt, broadcast oats by hand walk around kicking the dirt around to cover it.

Can you get an atv back there? If so, there are several options for small discs that would be helpful. I have one...never as good as a tractor pulled implement but it works...

Unfortunately probably not. I would have to cut some trees down

we had the same problem at one spot. Just killed off the vegetation and top spread wheat, oats and fertilized all nitrogen fertilizer. Didn't till or rake due to its location. A good rain did all we needed it to and we have solid growth so far. Deer eating on it after about a week.

If there is grass or weeds currently growing there spray it with roundup wait about 2 weeks then drag a push mower back there along with the seed. Spread the seed then mow the dead grass and weeds and that will cover the seed and allow it to grow without ever filling or using a rake.

It works.
