For those who hunt Kansas regularly, is there any other route to drive up there that you have found other than 35? It seems like every time I've had to make that run on the way to hunt in November it is just a total cluster.

Go the scenic route to a highway parallel to 35. Map it out and see where the traffic jams are, and go around them.

I always go 35. It's been a couple of years since I've driven it, but I've never had problems north of the MetroMess. An accident can screw things up no matter where you are.

There are plenty of other ways to go but none of them will get you to Wichita faster than 35.

If you can best to leave at 2 AM miss all of traffic mess in Dallas and OK city. I know worked up there 3 months it sucked!

from the big D, might as well go 35, from Austin, I used to take 281 to west Ks.

No deer in KS this year. Blue tongue wiped them all out.

Toll booths suck in Oklahoma. Bought a boat in Omaha and driving thru Kansas you only pay when exiting turn pike, in Oklahoma had to stop every 30-40 miles to pay toll. Leave it to the Okies.

35 Just don't attempt to get out of town during DFW rush hour. That adds an hour. My oldest son lives an hour north of Wichita and 35 is the quickest.

Turnpike? Just gas up when you can.
