1st year to hunt Coke county so I can't decide whether the he's just young or if this is a normal sized deer for this county?

Not sure about this one either....probably have to see them live to know for sure....

They both look 2.5-3.5 to me..

look young but the one in the last picture is old to be a 6.

Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

Where at in Coke County? Hunted 8 miles north of Bronte for 6 years a long time ago, we never had huge deer but we had a lot of them.

I hunt just south of Robert Lee in Coke County. Pictured bucks are young and fairly typical. You will occasionally see a 130-140, but that is fairly infrequent. Genetics, age and hunting pressure seem to be working against us in this area, but on the bright side, you almost always see some deer.....and hogs.....and turkey. Good luck!

115-120 will probably be your typical better classed bucks. My best buck was 122" and biggest on camera is around 140" but disappeared on us. I haven't seen anything come close to that size either in 5 years.

Small and young, but are nice to see on a slow morning of hunting.

we're just north of Tennyson and I can confirm what you're saying on the numbers....we have a lot of deer...which is why I originally posed the question. I've hunted in the Llano area before where a mature buck might dress 110 lbs. Contrast that other counties I've hunted where a mature buck will dress 160 and up. I'm looking through all of these pics and I see nothing I'd shoot but these two did peak my curiosity. I suspected they're young and am hoping that is the case because I would love to see that 11pt 3 years from now. This is the first set of pics where we're starting to see some bucks show up so its good to get some feedback from guys in the area to help me confirm what I think I'm looking at.

First ones look young or special and the last one needs to be shot by somebody
